Ms. Clare is back this summer, offering two programs (one for Grades K-3 and one for Grade 4/5) that focus on flexibility, strength, focus and literacy!
Clare Elizabeth Rainwater is a certified yoga instructor, who retired after thirty-four years in elementary education. She is delighted to continue her passion of teaching and sharing yoga goodness with kids. Ms. Clare feels that people have a misconception about yoga — it is more than funky poses! Yoga has a healing power. Each visit to the mat is an opportunity to quiet the mind. Learning stillness helps develop self-control and self-regulation. Through yoga, students become more capable in handling conflict both on and off the mat.

Ms. Clare’s goal is always to create a nurturing, safe environment for all - gathering together in a loving space, tailored to the individual.  Assisting her students as they challenge themselves, finding their new levels of possibilities - mind, body & spirit.

*Ms Clare created a non-profit literacy organization-"Literacy for Little Ones."   Little yogis will be encouraged at the end of each class to take a free book home from Ms Clare's Library.

Entering for the 2023-2024 school year

Little Yogis
Being playful and silly is the BEST way for kids to enjoy yoga. In this playful yoga class designed especially for elementary children, kids will learn age-appropriate yoga poses which will give them the opportunity to build focus, flexibility and strength. This class will also include breathing and relaxation exercises which help to cultivate a calm mind and body. These techniques can help the young yogis to manage stress in their daily lives. Along with yoga, this class will incorporate the love of literacy, games, music, art activities and FUN!

Please send your child with a yoga mat, water bottle and comfortable clothes.

Big Yogis
This class gives children in grades 4-5 an opportunity to develop concentration and focus through self-awareness. Using games, music, and breathing techniques, participants will learn how to center themselves. They will learn basic yoga poses, and also be introduced to yoga flow (synchronizing movement & breath). Each class will also incorporate a story. Literacy skills will be strengthened through the movement of yoga. This class will frequently include a small craft. The craft will be a small, gentle reminder to yogis on coping with stress off the mat. At this level the students will be doing more “grown-up” yoga — but the secret ingredient to each class is fun!

Please send your child with a yoga mat, water bottle and comfortable clothes.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
