THE POWER OF READING

Regular reading brings a host of physical, cognitive and emotional benefits to our lives and is an important part of any wellness program. In this workshop, we’ll explore what reading for wellness looks like, step-by-step. You’ll learn why reading is an essential part of our health and wellness, how to create reading rituals to soothe your nervous system, how to choose books that are just what you need and how to use the lessons  from the pages to make your actual life better. We’ll end the session with sharing titles among participants and if there’s time, some reading, too! Participants should bring a book they love and/or a book they’re currently reading; each will leave with a handout capturing the main ideas for the session and a digital link for more information.
