This program is for students entering Grades 5-8 for the 2025-2026 School Year.
All equipment is provided; digital photo albums and tip sheets will be sent home with participants
Class Descriptions
Tuesday, July 15: Nature Photography - Explore the beauty of nature and learn how to use composition to capture interesting visual perspectives of the beautiful gardens and water scenes of Hovey Pond. Use the digital camera settings to create soft bokeh backgrounds to make your main subject pop! 2 hours.

Wednesday, July 16: Photographing Pattern & Texture - Create eye-catching photography by zooming in on textures and patterns from nature. Practice using a macro lens to capture the smallest details. 2 hours.

Thursday, July 17: Action Photography - Did you know digital cameras can capture images that your eyes can't see? Learn how to use camera settings to freeze motion at 1/4000 of a second. We'll experiment by dropping, splashing, and moving to create striking photos. 2 hours.

Friday, July 18: Light Painting Photography - Pablo Picasso didn't paint with only brushes, he also created photographic "paintings" by capturing the movement of light. We will learn how to use digital camera settings to create our own photo light paintings using glow sticks, LED's and flashlights. 2 hours.
