Summer Never Ends Activities - Grades K-6 • Register • View Cart •

Two weeks until school starts? So, what!  At Queensbury Parks & Recreation, summer never ends!
Join us for a variety of specialty activities in our pristine parks. Choose one day of activity that interests you or participate in all of them!

At each of these programs, a complimentary Gurney Lane pool pass will be provided to each participant that can be used at any time during the remainder of the season.

General Information
  • Fee includes all adult instruction/education, supervision & program materials.
  • Please see each specific day activity for what to bring for that day and any additional requirements.
  • Also see each specific day, the parent drop off/pick-up will potentially be different each day.
  • A complimentary Gurney Lane pool pass will be provided to each participant that can be used at any time during the remainder of the 2025 season.
  • Sign in/out required.

Tuesday, August 19 - Ridge/Jenkinsville Park Play
  • Join us at Ridge/Jenkinsville Park for a day of play experiencing two unique sporting opportunities the park has to offer, Pickleball and Disc Golf.
  • Come learn the basics of these trendy sports.
  • Please send your child with a water bottle and wearing sneakers.
  • Drop-off/Pick-up will be at Ridge/Jenkinsville Park

Thursday, August 21 - Learn to Fish
  • A relaxing morning of fishing at Gurney Lane pond.
  • Our very own Gary Crossman, an experienced angler, will be demonstrating baiting, casting, and spinning rod techniques.
  • Please bring your own fishing pole/tackle if you have it, a limited number of poles will be available.
  • Drop-off/Pick-up at Gurney Lane Hansen Center

Monday, August 25 - DIY Spa Day
  • Join us at the Hansen Center at Gurney Lane for a morning of all things relaxation and pampering! We will do face masks, make sugar scrubs to bring home, and paint nails. Rest & relax so you can start the school year strong!
  • Drop-off/pick-up Gurney Lane Hansen Center.

Thursday, August 28 “The Last Hoorah!"
  • Join us at the Hansen Center at Gurney Lane for a final summer send-off!
  • We will have professional face painting, carnival games and prizes, and treats that are sure to end your summer on a sweet note!
  • Drop-off/pick-up at Gurney Lane Hansen Center
