Gurney Lane Swim Trip An afternoon of swimming & fun at the Gurney Lane Pool! Campers will remain at camp until the end of the Q-Club day and will eat their bagged lunch and get changed for swimming before taking the bus to the pool. In the event of predicted inclement weather, a cancellation will be made and communicated at 5PM on the day prior to the trip and the rain date will be used. In the event of a sudden turn in weather while we are at the pool, we will provide entertainment in the Hansen Center at Gurney Lane. Trip 1 Rain-Date: Thursday July 23 Trip 2 Rain-Date: Thursday August 6 Trip Necessities: Bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, bag lunch, beverage. Bus Schedule: Bus will depart the Queensbury 4/5 School at 12:30 PM. NO RETURN BUS TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Parents must pick up their child at Gurney Lane by 5:00pm. *Per the NYSDOH, swimming ability must be assessed by the Q-Club Aquatics Director for these trips. Swimming assessment will take place at the Gurney Lane Pool on the day of each cookout. Each child is required to have their swimming ability assessed once each summer. Night Watch Join us for a fun-filled evening of swimming, snacks, campfire songs and stories at Gurney Lane Recreation Area! Dinner will consist of pizza, Capri Suns, and snacks.
