Lil' Kidz Fitness & Fun Summer Program - Ages 2-5 - Lil' Kidz Fitness & Fun - Session 2 Toddlers and preschoolers need time to socialize, learn, and play, but most of all, have fun! This program delivers on every element! Children will explore and play games that promote coordination, agility, and gross motor skills, such as walking, running, and jumping. There will be opportunities for free-play to release energy! A variety of activities will enhance fine motor skills — especially hand-eye coordination and reflexes. Children will engage in educational activities through play, focusing on shapes, colors, patterns, and numbers. This program strengthens muscles and develops sensory awareness. It’s the perfect combination of play and learning!Instructor: NYS Certified Teacher Jenna Capezzuti

Swim Lessons - Extended Summer at Gurney Lane Term 5B - Wait List Level 1 ***Extended Summer Swim Lessons - with construction still taking place at the Queensbury Elementary School we have decided to extend outdoor swim lessons at Gurney Lane in lieu of our regular fall programming on Saturday mornings in September and October. Our goal is to offer consecutive 1-week terms, provided weather and pool conditions remain favorable for outdoor instruction at Gurney Lane. We will be offering limited classes for Levels 1-3, and a combined Level 4-6 class, between 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Terms will be determined and opened for registration on Wednesdays the preceding week.Swim lessons for ages 3-16 are taught the American Red Cross Pre-School Aquatics and Learn to Swim Levels 1-6 progressions by department-trained swim lesson instructors and swim aides, overseen by a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.Learn-to-Swim classes are designed to improve each child’s swimming skills at their own pace. Swimming requires advanced motor coordination that requires considerable practice, so it is not unusual for a student to stay at one skill level for more than one session. For a more accurate placement of your child in our swimming lesson program, please refer to the detailed skills sheet for each level, available at our office or online at recreation.queensburyny.gov.Term 5B - TBD - registration opens August 19All available swim levels are listed below:
